Categories of Working Visa Subclass 417

First Working Holiday Visa

The First Working Holiday Visa subclass 417 is for first-time applicants aged between 18 to 30 who wish to spend their holiday in Australia while also working for the period to pay their expenses. This visa legally permits you to work in Australia and the stay time is up to 12 months for this visa.

Second Working Holiday Visa

The Second Working Holiday Visa allows applicants aged between 18 to 30 years old to extend or apply for a second working holiday visa. Applicants who are granted the visa can perform any job in Australia but first should have had completed at least 3 months of specified work in the subclass 417 criteria. This visa also allows individuals to stay in Australia for up to a further 12 months. However, it is important to note that your previous visa must not have expired before 28 days of application or at least hold a substantive visa in the meantime.

Third Working Holiday Visa

The Third Working Holiday Visa is only eligible for individuals who already hold or have had held the Second Working Holiday Visa in Australia to prolong their stay. The criteria remain the same for the third working holiday visa as well, although applicants must have completed at least 6 months of specified work in Australia to be able to meet the requirements for the visa approval. This visa also allows individuals to extend their stay by a further 12 months.
